Golf. My Future. My Game's Pro-Shop

We commemorated the inaugural Birdies 2 Eagles Golf with the My Future. My Game. Pro Shop.

That's correct, our Pro Shop was created and built for our Birdies and Eagles allowing each to visit and pick up their golf apparel for the season. It was such a joy to see them come in, choose and pick whatever they wanted. You see, for me it's important each and every child in our program has the right clothes so they can begin to feel comfortable and at ease on the course; it's one thing to think and know you are the part, yet another to know you look the part.

The 20/20 Umbrella

“From merely playing to opening someone’s eyes to the opportunities the game has to offer, we’re trying to provide a funnel where there once wasn’t,” says Craig Kirby, founder of the non-profit “Golf. My Future. My Game,” one of the organizations under the 20/20 umbrella.

Swinging in the Right Direction

Foundation aims to steer black youth to the golf course.

"Since the foundation's inception, Kirby said about 300 kids from all types of socio-economic backgrounds have participated in the various programs, clinics and internships."

These conversations promote a focus on etiquette, networking, health and fitness and the discipline of practice. This will provide a greater level of comfort with the game and the industry, in order to create a feeling of inclusion.

Craig was invited to a sit down with Sister Jenna, host of the America Meditating Radio Show.  In this lively discussion, the two talk about many of the observations made by the World Golf Foundation.  Take a listen.

A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the MastersTournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.

By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.
